A tyre handler is used on-site to complete a variety of tasks associated with the removal and replacement of tyres on multiple sizes of trucks. Unfortunately, the driver visibility on these machines is extremely poor and relies almost entirely on very skilled operators to complete tasks. The poor visibility often requires another member of the tyre maintenance team to enter potentially hazardous lines of fire in order to guide the tyre handler operator to the correct position. This project requires the development of some visual aids to feed information back to the tyre handler operator and remove the requirement for additional personnel to feed information back to the driver, thus removing a significant hazard from the process.
